Hello everyone!!!!

This blog is about Prabhalgad trek situated in Panvel of district

Prabhalgad is a simple trek and is mostly opted by beginner trekkers. Prabhalgad offers an amazing view and is very much lushgreen. #nature #trees

Trek will cost you below 150 rupees. The tickets and entry are mentioned below in the blog #Trekcost

So, let me start with my blog..The day we visited Prabhalgad was

We had done Kalavantin durg before but not visited the Prabhalgad. Both Kalavantin and Prabhalgad are opposite to eachother and can be visited at same time. This time we decided to visit only Prabhalgad.#prabhalgad

The day of our trek was saturday so it was less crowded compared to sunday as it is visited by many of the trekkers and nature explorers. We were 9 people in group who did this trek. The meeting point we decided was the panvel railway station which was convenient for all of us.

I started the journey from Ghatkopar here i joined one of my friend who was going to be with us and we were supposed to change the train from Thane. We boarded the 8:00 am Panvel train. By reaching panvel other friends joined us and we headed towards the ST bus depot.

Panvel bus depot is a 2 min walkable distance from panvel railway station. By reaching the depot we got to know that we have missed the bus and the next bus was after 50 mins. By the we roamed around the depot and had lots of fun.

Finally the Thakurwadi bus arrived, thakurwadi village is base from were you start the trek for kalavantin and prabhalgad. The bus tickets will cost you around 20 rupees. Bus timings are as:

By reaching Thakurwadi we had this group photo...

After walking for around 10 mins we came across entry gate for both the forts. The entry fee is 50 rupees per head.

Actual trail starts from here, we decided to go slow and take our first break at the prabhalmachi. Till prabhalmachi the route was good and is very easy. The machi offers a beautiful view. Machi was full of green grass and was looking awesome as it was the time of monsoon. Many people come here for night camping #nightcamping #nightstay

So after hiking for around 2hrs we reached machi everyone relaxed and were enjoying the view and clicking pictures.

From here we again started for the trek and after few minutes we came across a diversion one path goes to the prabhalgad which is the rightside route and the left route goes to kalavantin durg. No need to worry as arrows and boards are clearly mentioned for the path. After hiking for the next 1.5hrs we came across this area one route which is at the rightside goes to the Kaalburuj which is a 2hrs hike and comeback to this point and straight route goes to the prabhalgad top. The distance to the top was just 10 mins from here. As we started to trail, the path we came across was so beautiful, covered around with trees and was amazing.

Finally we reached the top after walking for 10 mins and at top the feeling was awesome. From the top we get a full view of kalavantin durg and it looks stunning from here. You also get a view of Matheran, karnala fort, chanderi, haji-malanggad and Peb fort from the top.

This is the Matheran point.

Later we had food and relaxed for some time enjoying those beautiful views and then we started descending as it was already late(time: 4 pm) and we needed to catch 6:15 pm bus for the panvel railway station. We descended faster and were on time for the bus. We then boarded the bus and all of us went to sleep as it was tiring and long trek though it was simple trek. Later at panvel railway station we greeted goodbyes and were back home with lovely memories.

It was great trek and had made lots of good memories and was happy by the end of the day. :)
